Lydia's Coffee Shop

Lydia’s coffee shop is situated on High Street near to the war memorial.

It is a joint project set up by St. James’ Church and the Baptist chapel and run mainly by volunteers as a charity. We like to think that it is more than just a coffee shop but that it is also an oasis in a busy world. It is also a place where we hope people will find spiritual fellowship.

A recently revamped prayer room is available at the back where anyone can be prayed for, or spend time alone praying.

There is also a children’s indoor play area which allows parents to enjoy the coffee in relative peace!

Lydia’s is popular with the village community and visitors are always sure of a warm welcome and plenty of company.

The menu includes lunchtime snacks such as paninis, sandwiches, jacket potatoes and soup. There is a wide range of coffee, teas and other hot and cold drinks available as well as home made cakes and biscuits. These can be consumed on the premises or taken away.

Opening times: Monday to Friday 9am-4.30pm
